I rekindled those times when I had spent countless of hours going through albums after albums of photographs, rummaging through my collectibles of all sorts, arranging and rearranging my chest of drawers of these collectibles ....

But now, I'm busier than ever but loving every single moment of it.

I only viewed photos saved in the CD's & computer album but hardly those from the old photo albums .... Now that I am reminded, here's goodnight to the computer and I'm off to flip my photo albums.

I also deco my kitchen with a 'kitchenette' cross-stitch. With whatever French language that I could salvage from my smattering knowledge of French, I completed my cross-stitch with utmost satisfaction. The end result, hmm ... quite OK ??

When Rozana passed her Grade 2 ABRSM piano exam, I scouted for an idea to commemorate her success. Paper tole was the 'in' thing at that time. I had several colleagues lobbying the paper tole craft to me. Thought why not, so I had to get it done. Cutting, arranging, glueing and 'varnishing' the pictures were quite fun. Seemed now that is the one and only paper tole I have done so far ...

With the cross-stitches and some of my girls pictures framed up, what better way I thought than to hang them up on the wall in the girls bedroom.

Rozana even lend her hands in drilling the holes up on the wall ....

My Masterpieces

I took pride in my handicrafts. Not that I have many of them. But some years back, I did lay my hands on cross-stitches.

I had one done up for my eldest, Rozana and another one for my youngest child, Reyhana.

Strange, but my cross-stitch hobby emerged when I was expecting my youngest child. I started stitching Rozana's name conscientiously day and night over the weekends and whenever I was free from office on weekdays. I felt I had done some part in bonding my two kids with my stitches, while still carrying the younger sibling. Simple these cross-stitches may seem, but I took more than two months just stitching Rozana's name. Next, when Reyhana was a few months old, I started stitching her name. Then I framed both up & the end results seemed not too bad.

Travel Photos Collection

I framed up some memorable pictures of my children during our globe-trotting in Europe, Australia, Middle-East and some parts of Asia. These travel photos adorn one part of their room.

Collectibles & Memorabilia

I am a collector. In the true sense of a collector, I used to collect everything - be it matchboxes, badges, buttons, collectible cards, pens, souvenirs, postcards, stamps, firstday covers, old & foreign coins, foreign notes, books, magazines, recipes, wallets, bags, CD's, etc. etc. You name them, I have them. Fast forward ... now, most of my collectibles are still archived well, somewhere within the house.

When I picked up travelling, I came up with another range of collectibles - travel souvenirs around the globle. These came in the form of souvenir plates, spoons, items that caught my interests and dozens & dozens of travel photographs.

Not to mention the thousands of family photos that I kept in multiples of dozens of albums, stashed away neatly in my cupboards and also around the house.

Come digital age several years back, I started saving digital pictures of some of my collections, including even photos of my cooked recipes and of course, my family photographs.

I certainly relate very well to most collectors, having the experience of nurturing my treasures, meaningless they might seem to others but of utmost importance to me. Collectors out there, wondered if we share the same thoughts ??
